Police: Man Urinates on Sidewalk, Wipes Hands on Bystander, Pulls Knife

A couple sitting on a bench in Union Square Saturday evening encountered a drunk who peed in front of them and then threatened them with a knife, according to a police report.

A couple was sitting on a bench in the middle of Union Square at about 5:45 p.m. Saturday when a drunk man unzipped his pants and started urinating on the sidewalk, according to a police report.

The boyfriend, sitting outside 61 Union Square, asked the man to stop exposing himself and peeing in public, the report says.

In response, the man finished urinating, "moaning loudly" as he did, then wiped his hands on the boyfriend, according to the report.
