Police Make Drug Bust in Johnnie's Foodmaster Parking Lot, Says Report

Somerville detectives arrested five men—four from Arlington, one from Somerville—in connection to an alleged Percocet drug deal that occurred in and around the parking lot in West Somerville, according to a police report.

Police made the arrests at around 5:15 p.m. on June 13, according to a Somerville Police booking log.

According to the police report, detectives were conducting surveillance at the Johnnie's Foodmaster supermarket parking lot, which "has been the focal point of past surveillance operations that ultimately resulted in numerous arrest[s] for narcotics violations."

The report says investigators observed Dante Quinn, 24, of 1370 Broadway, talking on a cell phone in front of the supermarket before crossing Broadway to meet with Gregory Moulton, 21, of 7 Warren St., Arlington.

The two walked together into the , the report says, which adds that Moulton reached into his pocket and appeared to make a payment of cash to Quinn.

Meanwhile, a Toyota Corolla entered the supermarket parking lot, and soon Moulton came out of the Clarendon Hill Towers Apartments and got into the car, the report says.

Nicholas Murray, 20, of 9 Lockland Ave., Arlington; Thomas Glover, 20, of 34 Peirce St., Arlington; and Pauric Hourican, 20, of 11 Bailey Rd., Arlington, were also in the car, according to the report. 

Detectives believed Moulton was acting as a broker between the three men and Quinn in a drug deal, the report says.

Police stopped the car and found seven Percocet pills in it, according to the report.

All four men in the car were arrested and charged with drug possession and conspiracy to violate drug law.

Quinn was also arrested, on Clarendon Hill Towers Apartments property, and charged with drug distribution, conspiracy to violate drug law and drug violation near a park and school.
