Police Booking Log: Woman Hides in Bathroom During Break-In

The following arrest information was supplied by the Somerville Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Arrests made by the Somerville Police Department from July 2 to July 8. Please remember that the charges listed below do not indicate a conviction.

Assault and battery

On July 4, Freddy Portillo, 33, was arrested at 204 Washington St. and charged with assault to murder and assault and battery with a dangerous weapon. Portillo is accused of knifing a man in the chest, back, arm and abdomen.

On July 5, Sandra Modesto, 38, of 25 Canal Lane, was arrested at that address and charged with assault and battery on a child.

On July 6, Adeline Wright, 34, of Manyard, was arrested at 30 Washington St. and charged with assault and battery.

On July 30, Joseph Killoren, 31, of 585 Broadway, was arrested at 30 Washington St. and charged with assault and battery.

On July 7, Rajeshwar Ghimire, 36, of 59 Temple St., was arrested at that address and charged with assault and battery.

On July 7, Dominic Campelo, 20, of 460 Mystic Ave., was arrested at that address and charged with assault and battery.

On July 8, McKenna Minson, 17, of 45 Memorial Rd., was arrested at 45B Memorial Rd. and charged with assault and battery and destruction of property.

Larceny, theft and shoplifting

On July 3, Raymond Defranzo, 43, of Revere, was arrested at 75 Mystic Ave. and charged with larceny. He was also arrested on a warrant for shoplifting. According to a police report, Defranzo, at Home Depot, put two pressure washers, one worth $599, the other worth $399, on a push-cart and walked out of the store without paying. When confronted by the loss-prevention officer and asked for a receipt, he handed the officer a receipt from a Tedeschi Food Shop, the report says.

On July 4, Marsha Calixte, 28, of Dorchester, was arrested at 105 Middlesex Ave. and charged with larceny.

Drug-related arrests

On July 4, Jennifer Finn, 28, of 125 Jaques St., was arrested at 45 Heath St. and charged with drug possession, breaking and entering and larceny. She was also arrested on warrants for credit card fraud and receiving stolen property. According to a police report, police received 911 phone calls saying a woman was locked in her bathroom and there was an intruder in her home. Officers entered the home, weapons drawn, when they encountered Finn near the front door and the victim on the stairs, the report says. Finn allegedly told police she had broken in, and the victim was distraught. The report alleges Finn stole jewelry, a wallet, a Blackberry phone, an iPod, a camera and perfume. It also says Finn had Suboxone and Diazepam pills.

Other arrests

On July 3, Dina MiMartino, 34, of Medford, was arrested at 532 Medford St. and charged with trespassing.

On July 4, Ever Fabien, 24, of 5 Everett Ave., was arrested at that address and charged with disorderly conduct.

On July 5, John Smith, 62, of Boston, was arrested at 220 Washington St. and charged with failing to register as a sex offender.

Warrant arrests

On July 2, Brianna Corey, 19, of 9 Fennell St., was arrested at 540 Broadway on a warrant for assault and battery with a dangerous weapon.

On July 3, Stephen Remick, 57, was arrested at 406 Highland Ave. on a warrant for larceny.

On July 3, Edward Mahoney, 50, of 29 Minnesota Ave., was arrested at 171 Broadway on a warrant for armed robbery.

On July 5, Caprice McAndrew, 22, of 420 Medford St., was arrested at 519 Broadway on warrants for speeding, driving with a suspended license and failure to wear a seatbelt.
