Police Booking Log: Men Caught Breaking into Safe

The following information was supplied by the Somerville Police Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

Arrests made by the Somerville Police Department from Dec. 2 to Dec.7. Please remember that the charges listed below do not indicate a conviction.

Assault and battery


On Dec. 3, Joseph Burns, 43, of 148 Sycamore St., was arrested at that address and charged with assault and battery.

On Dec. 4, Anubia DeOliveira, 30, of 10 River Rd., was arrested at that address and charged with assault and battery, threatening to commit crime and resisting arrest.

On Dec. 5, Davi Silva, 27, of 85 Central St., was arrested at 70 Hudson St. and charged with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, assault and battery, and threatening to commit crime.

Larceny, theft and shoplifting


On Dec. 2, Crystal Bielakowski, 30, of Cambridge, was arrested at 22 McGrath Highway and charged with shoplifting. According to a police report, she is accused of shoplifting perfume and sneakers from Marshalls.

On Dec. 6, Christopher Richards, 20, of Medford, and three juveniles were arrested at 55 Ossipee Rd. and charged with receiving stolen property, breaking into a depository and possession of burglarious instruments. According to a police report, the four young men were in the back yard trying to break into a safe. When police arrived, they found the young men standing around the safe, with a crowbar, small shovel, screwdriver and nail puller strewn about around them, the report says. It says that a powdery substance from inside the walls of the safe covered the tools and the clothes of the young men. Back at the station, after the four were arrested, police were able to open the safe and create an inventory of its contents: $6,880 in cash, two digital cameras, gold and silver bracelets, rings, earrings, three boxes of blank checks, a red Nintendo 3DS, personal papers, passports, and a rubber piggy bank full of coins.

Breaking and entering


On Dec. 4, Omeron Khan, 18, of 16 Otis St., was arrested at 13 Fountain Ave. and charged with breaking and entering.

Drug-related arrests


On Dec. 6, Manuel Farias, 40, of 152 Glen St. and Carlos Jimenez-Vazquez, 25, of Boston, were arrested on Fitchburg Street. Farias was charged with drug possession to distribute and conspiracy to violate drug law. Vazquez-Jimenez was charged with cocaine trafficking, drug possession and conspiracy to violate drug law. Driving without a license


On Dec. 3, Jeuris Contreras, 25, of Medford, was arrested on Broadway and charged with driving with a suspended license and unsafe operation of a motor vehicle. He was also arrested on a warrant for driving with a suspended license.

On Dec. 4, Carl Donaldson, 55, was arrested at 180 Somerville Ave. and charged with driving with a suspended license.

On Dec. 7, Robert Foley, 50, of Arlington, was arrested on Broadway and charged with driving with a revoked license.

On Dec. 7, Mike Bento, 32, of Medford, was arrested at 240 Pearl St. and charged with unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle.

Other arrests


On Dec. 6, James Killackey, 30, of Cambridge, was arrested at 400 Somerville Ave. and charged with trespassing, disorderly conduct and resisting arrest. According to a police report, Killackey is accused of drinking behind the Market Basket and then, after being asked to leave, going into the store and creating a commotion.

Warrant arrests


On Dec. 2, Paul Venuti, 34, of Medford, was arrested outside Somerville on warrants for driving with a suspended license, receiving stolen property, unarmed robbery and using a motor vehicle without authority.
