Assault and battery

On Feb. 26, Jonathan Scull, 26, of Medford, was arrested at 523 Broadway and charged with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, resisting arrest and shoplifting. According to allegations in a police report, Scull stole a 16-ounce can of Pabst Blue Ribbon beer from Woody's Liquors by stuffing it down his pants and then walking out of the store. When the clerk confronted him about it on the street, asking him why he had a bulge in his pant leg near his ankle, he told her, in not so polite terms, it was his genitals, and then he took the can out and threw it at her head, according to the victim's account in the police report. Scull then ran off down Williams Street into Medford, the report says. Police ultimately caught up with him, but he fought with them, according to the report, which says it took three officers to put him in handcuffs. He threatended the police officers, and they also found him with a small amount or marijuana, the report says.

On Feb. Juan Interiano, 17, of Everett, was arrested at 211 Pearl St. and charged with assault and battery on a police officer, resisting arrest, shoplifting and trespassing. He is accused of stealing a loaf of bread from Pearl Street Market and struggling with officers who tried to arrest him.
