Police Booking Log: Man Smashes Bank Property After Phone Etiquette Dispute

The following information was supplied by the Somerville Police Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

Arrests made by the Somerville Police Department from Nov. 11 to 17. Please remember that the charges listed below do not indicate a conviction.

Rape


On Nov. 11, Jose Montano, 31, of Chelsea, was arrested at 520 Columbia St. and charged with rape. Montano was arrested as a courtesy booking for the Revere Police Department, according to Somerville police. Unless there is a danger to the public, the Somerville Police Department, in an effort to protect victims, does not release information about rapes.

Assault and battery


On Nov. 13, Lorreno Pierre, 18, of 15A Memorial Rd., was arrested at 91 Highland Ave.—Somerville High School—and charged with indecent assault and battery. Pierre is accused of groping a teacher.

On Nov. 13, Chante Hayes, 26, of Boston, and Shawna Webb, 21, of 9 Avon Place, were arrested at 9 Avon Place and charged with assault and battery.

Larceny, theft, breaking and entering


On Nov. 12, Patrick Janeiro, 23, of 3 Walter Terrace., was arrested on Montrose Street and charged with breaking and entering. According to a police report, Janeiro broke into an unlocked Chevrolet Traverse and took a Staples Rewards card.

Prostitution


On Nov. 15, William Angulo, 29, of Van Nuys, Calif., was arrested at 30 Washington St. and charged with sexual conduct for a fee. A police report says Angulo was offering transsexual sexual services.

Drug-related arrests


On Nov. 12, Edwin Santana, 35, of Charlestown, was arrested at 77 Middlesex Ave. and charged with conspiracy to violate drug law, drug distribution and drug possession. According to allegations in a police report, Santana was caught dealing heroin in the parking lot of Home Depot.

On Nov. 14, Ronnie Mendes, 18, of 10C Memorial Rd., Ricardo Mendes, 19, of Malden and Robert Lara, 23, of Lynn, were arrested on Mystic Avenue after police pulled over the Volkswagen they were driving in, according to a police report. The report says Ronnie Mendes and Lara had marijuana stuffed down their pants. Also, the license plates on the Volkswagen were registered to a Ford Explorer, the report says. It also says Ronnie Mendes had a knife. In all, police found more than 28 baggies of marijuana in the car, according to the report. Ronnie Mendes was charged with drug possession and carrying a dangerous weapon. Lara was charged with attaching wrong motor vehicle plates, driving with a suspended license and driving an unregistered motor vehicle. Ricardo Mendes was arrested on a warrant for witness intimidation.

On Nov. 14, Joel Rodriguez, 27, of Roxbury, was arrested on Broadway and charged with drug possession and drug violation near a school. At the same time, Julian Restrepo, 22, of Everett, was arrested on a warrant for driving with a suspended license. According to a police report, police found Rodriguez with marijuana after pulling over his car. Rodriguez allegedly told police, "I was arrested in May for the same thing and lost a bunch of weed so I got this from my guy in Roxbury on consignment to sell and break even with my dealer and then quit selling drugs."


Driving without a license


On Nov. 12, Jennifer Libby, 26, of Gloucester, was arrested at 709 McGrath Highway and charged with driving with a suspended license. 

Other arrests


On Nov. 11, Marsha Cargill, 44, of 338 Somerville Ave., was arrested at 328 Somerville Ave. and charged with disturbing the peace and trespassing.

On Nov. 13, Tiago Daniel, 23, of 179 School St., was arrested at 493 Somerville Ave. and charged with destruction of property and disorderly conduct. According to a police report, Daniel came to the CPCU Credit Union after one of the bank employees put him on hold during an earlier telephone call. Daniel kicked in the bottom glass on one of the bank's doors, yelled at the employee for hanging up on him, said he could buy the bank, kick ass and fight one hundred guys, then punched a framed picture, breaking the frame and shattering the glass, the report says. Later, Daniel turned himself into police, according to the report.

Warrant arrests


On Nov. 12, Michael Derosa, 31, was arrested at 709 McGrath Highway on a warrant for violating a miscellaneous municipal ordinance.

On Nov. 12, Roberto Pereira, 36, was arrested at 269 Broadway on warrants for unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and failure to signal.

On Nov. 13, Jason Duncan, 34, of 20 Central Rd., was arrested at 26 Central Rd. on warrants for carrying a dangerous weapon, breaking and entering, resisting arrest, drug possession and violating a miscellaneous municipal ordinance.

On Nov. 13, George Smith, 48, of Cambridge, was arrested at 345 Beacon St. on warrants for assault and battery on a retarded person, destruction of property and larceny.

On Nov. 13, 21, of 34R North St., was arrested at 34A North St. on a warrant for breaking and entering and assault and battery.

On Nov. 13, Luis Maldonado, 42, of Hampton, N.H., was arrested on McGrath Highway on a warrant for driving with a suspended license.

On Nov. 13, Juan Guzman, 37, of 9 Gilman St., was arrested at 77 Middlesex Ave. on a warrant for driving without an inspection sticker.

On Nov. 15, Matthew McComiskey, 33, of 46 Richdale Ave., was arrested at 76 Middlesex Ave. on a warrant for receiving stolen property.

On Nov. 17, Osmar Flores-Chavez, 19, of Chelsea, was arrested at 20 Brooks St. on warrants for furnishing a false name or social security number, unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and motor vehicle larceny.
