Police Booking Log: Man Nabs $207 Worth of Razors from Rite Aid

The following arrest information was supplied by the Somerville Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Arrests made by the Somerville Police Department from Dec. 22 to Dec. 29. Please remember that the charges listed below do not indicate a conviction.

Drug-related arrests

On Dec. 23, Daniel Cunha, 32, of 9 Pinckney Pl., was arrested at 299 Broadway and charged with drug possession and shoplifting. According to a police report, Cunha walked into the Rite Aid on Broadway in Winter Hill, went directly to the shaving razor section and began stuffing razors—$207 worth—into his pockets. Store managers called police, who arrested Cunha and discovered he had four Clonazepam pills, a Suboxone pill and a small amount of heroin, according to the report.

Other arrests

On Dec. 28. Daphne Evans, 21, and Shaneze Franklin, 20, both of Dorchester, were arrested at 30 Washington St. and charged with participating in an affray. They were arrested in connection to a large fight at the Holiday Inn.

On Dec. 28, John Juppe, 32, of Arlington, and Michael Splaine, 24, were arrested at 530 Somerville Ave. and charged with uttering a false prescription, conspiracy and forgery of a document. Splaine and Juppe were accused of trying to use a forged prescription at the Rite Aid on Somerville Avenue.

On Dec. 29, Stephania Lugin, 32, of Hopedale, was arrested at 890 Broadway and charged with disorderly conduct. According to a police report, Lugin was accused of refusing to let her roommates sleep by banging loudly the door. When police arrived, she continued to yell and argue with her roommates, the report says.

Warrant arrests

On Dec. 22, Eugene Silva, 52, was arrested outside Somerville on warrants for threatening to commit crime and violating an abuse prevention order.
