Police Booking Log: Man Involved in Assault Arrested with Box Cutter

Arrests made by the Somerville Police Department from Oct. 1 to Oct. 7. Please remember that the charges listed below do not indicate a conviction.
Assault and battery
On Oct. 1, Lorena Dossantos, 17, of 202 Pearl St. was arrested at that address and charged with assault and battery on a police officer, assault and battery and resisting arrest.
On Oct. 3, Rattana Lakpim, 28, of 9 Putnam St., was arrested at that address and charged with assault and battery.

On Oct. 3, Niall Vallega, 20, of 21 Henderson St., was arrested at 237 Washington St. and charged with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, driving with a suspended license, driving an uninsured motor vehicle and driving an unregistered motor vehicle. According to a police report, officers pulled over Vallega's car because it had been involved in an earlier assault and battery that took place on Summer Street. Inside the car, police found a box cutter, which was the weapon used in the earlier assault, the report says.
On Oct. 4, Alexander Karis, 20, of 1 Lawson Terr., was arrested at that address and charged with assault and battery and assault and battery with a dangerous weapon.

On Oct. 6, Curtis Knight, 46, of Cambridge, was arrested outside Somerville and charged with assault and battery.
Larceny and theft
On Oct. 5, Steven Lucas, 30, of Medford, was arrested at 775 McGrath Highway and charged with larceny.
Drug-related arrests
On Oct. 5, Michael Splaine, 24, of 28 High St., was arrested at 1214 Broadway and charged with drug possession. Splaine was .
Operating under the influence
On Oct. 1, Charles Macauley, 52, of Medford, was arrested at 52 Partridge Ave. and charged with operating under the influence of liquor.
Other arrests
On Oct. 4, Brian Wise, 28, of Malden, was arrested at 26 Glen St. and charged with being a fugitive from justice.
On Oct. 7, Victor Villanueva, 39, of Roxbury, was arrested at 120 Walnut St. and charged with possession of a dangerous weapon.
Warrant arrests
On Oct. 4, Carlos Pineda, 20, of 1 Woods Ave., was arrested at 220 Washington St. on warrants for uttering (writing) false checks, forgery of checks, larceny of a motor vehicle, larceny, larceny from a building, forgery of a document, driving an uninsured motor vehicle or trailer, number plate violation and witness intimidation.
On Oct. 7, James Bartolo, 28, of Melrose, was arrested at 160 Washington St. on warrants for lights violation and driving with a revoked license.
