Police Booking Log: $668 Shoplifted from Supermarket in One Week

The following information was supplied by the Somerville Police Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

Arrests made by the Somerville Police Department from July 8 to July 13. Please remember that the charges listed below do not indicate a conviction.

Assault and battery


On July 11, Steven Nunziato, 55, of 42 Dana St., was arrested at that address and charged with assault and battery.

On July 13, Harry Corcell, 43, was arrested at 30 Teele Ave. and charged with assault and battery.

Larceny and theft


On July 8, Christopher Marshall, 28, of 22 Minnesota Ave., was arrested at 775 McGrath Highway and charged with larceny. He was also arrested on a warrant for driving with a suspended license. According to a police report, he is accused of shoplifting $335.46 worth of items from Stop & Shop.

On July 13, Craig Thomson, 50, of 50C Memorial Rd., was arrested at 775 McGrath HIghway and charged with larceny. According to a police report, Thomson is accused of shoplifting $351.17 from Stop & Shop.

Drug-related arrests


On July 13, Joseph Flynn, 21, with no listed address, and Ella Mataev, 24, of Newton, were arrested at 219 Broadway. Flynn was charged with drug possession, possession of a dangerous weapon and drug violation near a park. He was also arrested on warrants for driving with a suspended license and speeding. Mataev was charged with being present where heroin was kept and drug possession. According to a police report, Flynn had a cigarette pack filled with heroin and marijuana, and he had a knife. Mataev, according to the report, had a Suboxone pill.

Other arrests


On July 9, Kelly Smith, 35, was arrested at 115 Alewife Brook Parkway and charged with trespassing, resisting arrest and disorderly conduct.

On July 13, Kirby Calixte, 20, of 66 Vernon St., was arrested at 36 Munroe St. and charged with disorderly conduct.

Warrant arrests


On July 11, a juvenile from Malden was arrested at 40C Memorial Rd. on warrants for assault with a dangerous weapon and assault and battery.

On July 13, David Kotowski, 43, of 4 Sanborn Ave., was arrested on Sanborn Avenue on warrants for driving an unregistered motor vehicle, driving an uninsured motor vehicle and driving with a suspended license.

On July 13, Garvin de la Cruz, 35, of Roxbury, was arrested at 105 Middlesex Ave. on warrants for threatening to commit crime and assault and battery.
