Police Booking Log: 40-oz. Heinekens, Wine and Switchblade Get Men Arrested

The following information was supplied by the Somerville Police Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

Arrests made by the Somerville Police Department from Sept. 30 to Oct. 6. Please remember that the charges listed below do not indicate a conviction.

Assault and battery


On Oct. 1, Joseph Salvato, 57, of 1374 Broadway, was arrested at 1215 Broadway and charged with assault and battery on a person over 60.

On Oct. 6, Peter Dizon, 53, was arrested at 633A Somerville Ave. and charged with assault and battery.

Larceny, theft, breaking and entering


On Oct. 3, Luis Regino, 25, of 6 Summer St, was arrested at 10 Franklin St. and charged with breaking and entering into a vehicle. According to a police report, a witness woke up at around 5 a.m. to the sound of Regino throwing tools out of a neighbor's pickup truck. The witness called the neighbor, who came outside and saw Regino in his truck, the report says. The pickup truck owner held Regino against the truck until police arrived, according to the report.

Drug-related arrests


On Oct. 3, Alexander Mondesir, 25, of Medford, was arrested at 1364 Broadway and charged with drug possession. He was also arrested on warrants for assault and battery with a dangerous weapon and assault and battery.

Other arrests


On Sept. 30, James Killackey, 30, of Cambridge, was arrested at 14 McGrath Highway and charged with disorderly conduct. According to a police report, Killackey was intoxicated and made a scene in the McDonald's.

On Sept. 30, Ralph Glawson, 50, of Boston, was arrested at 256 Elm St. and charged with having an open container and furnishing a false name or social security number. He was also arrested on warrants for trespassing, disorderly conduct, larceny, destruction of property and breaking and entering.

On Oct. 10, a juvenile from Somerville was arrested at 313 Broadway and charged with possession of a dangerous weapon. The juvenile was also arrested on a warrant for witness intimidation.

On Oct. 2, Walter Andrade, 21, of Brockton, and Ronick Afonso, 18, of Taunton, were arrested on Medford Street. Andrade was charged with carrying a dangerous weapon, driving with a suspended license, driving with no inspection sticker and having an open container of alcohol. Afonso was charged with carrying a dangerous weapon and having an open container of alcohol. According to a police report, a witness called police after seeing a red Dodge Caravan involved in what looked like a drug deal near the intersection of Tennyson and Medford streets. After police pulled the car over, they found open 40-ounce bottles of Heineken and an open bottle of wine in the car, and hidden between the bottles was a switchblade, the report says.

On Oct. 5, two juveniles from Somerville and Michael Bobick, 18, of 250 Broadway, were arrested at 77 Middlesex Ave. and charged with attepted arson. They are accused of lighting cardboard boxes on fire in an Assembly Square parking lot.

Warrant arrests


On Oct. 1, two juveniles from Somerville were arrested at 9 Alston St. on warrants for assault with a dangerous weapon, unarmed robbery and witness intimidation.

On Oct. 1, John McLean, 53, of Boston, was arrested in Davis Square on a warrant for larceny.

On Oct. 1, Christopher Blake, 22, of 50 Albion St., was arrested on Albion Street on a warrant for driving with a suspended license.

On Oct. 4, Carlos Rivera, 29, of Chelsea, was arrested on Inner Belt Road on a warrant for drug distribution.
