Police Booking Log: $3,000 Shopping Spree on Ex-Wife's MasterCard

Arrests made by the Somerville Police Department from Sept. 3 to Sept. 8. Please remember that the charges listed below do not indicate a conviction.
Assault and battery
On Sept. 8, David Smith, 48, of 499 Marshall St., was arrested at that address and charged with assault and battery and witness intimidation.
On Sept. 8, Ashley Bryan, 18, of 455 McGrath Highway, was arrested at that address and charged with assault and battery.
Larceny and theft
On Sept. 8, Robert Murphy, 64, of Watertown, was arrested at 147 Broadway and charged with larceny, receiving a stolen credit card and document forgery. He was also arrested on warrants for uttering a false check, failure to stop or yield, larceny and driving with a suspended license. According to a police report, Murphy used his ex-wife's MasterCard to spend more than $3,000 at Mount Vernon Restaurant, Rite Aid, Fasika Restaurant, Minute Market, Home Depot, Pearl Street Auto, Stop & Shop, K&G Fashion Superstore and La Hacienda.
Other arrests
On Sept. 3, Elisa Pino, 37, of 3 Everett Ave., was arrested at that address and charged with being a fugitive from justice on court.
On Sept. 3, Joseph Burke, 49, of 3 Everett St., was arrested at that address and charged with failure to file with the state while on parole or pardon.
On Sept. 5, Maryann Sperlinga, 55, of Medford, was arrested at 287 Medford St. and charged with disorderly conduct. She is accused of throwing stones at a house, banging on the door and screaming.
On Sept. 7, Troy Madison, 33, of 23 Radcliffe Rd., was arrested at 422 Washington St. and charged with violating an abuse prevention order.
Warrant arrests
On Sept. 4, Curtis Preston, 23, of Everett, was arrested in Boston on warrants for breaking and entering, drug possession, larceny and witness intimidation.
On Sept. 6, Joseph Mento, 49, of Lynn, was arrested at 175 Fellsway on a warrant for violating an abuse prevention order.
