PHOTOS: Somerville's Newest Police Officers Meet With Local Teens

The meeting was part of an effort break down stereotypes police and teenagers have about each other.

Somerville teenagers and four of the Somerville Police Department's newest officers met Tuesday for a "discussion session."

Organized by the police department and Somerville's Teen Empowerment, the session was designed to let the two groups, often at odds, get to know each other and break down stereotypes.

Teen Empowerment sent some photos of the meeting, and here they are.
