Outgoing Police Chief Talks Law Enforcement in Somerville

Somerville Police Chief Thomas Pasquarello, who will step down from his post on Dec. 1, talked about police work in Somerville on a local TV show.

Somerville Police Chief Thomas Pasquarello announced in early November he was resigning from the police force in order to care for a family member, and his last day is Dec. 1.

Pasquarello recently sat down with Joe Lynch, host of "Greater Somerville," to talk about his career in law enforcement, his time in Somerville and the transition to a new chief.

Among other things, the chief talked about changes in policing seen in the past few decades, his experience as a Drug Enforcement Administration officer, surveillance cameras in Somerville, changes to the Somerville Police Department, and the upcoming search for a new chief.
