Man Tries to Break into Home While Woman Sleeps, Says Report

Arrests made by the Somerville Police Department from Jan. 20 to Jan. 25. Please remember that the charges listed below do not indicate a conviction.

Assault and battery


On Jan. 23, Steven Nunziato, 55, of 42 Dana St., was arrested at that address and charged with assault and battery.

On Jan. 24, Charles Grant, 36, of 217 School St., was arrested on Broadway and charged with assault with a dangerous weapon, violating a harassment prevention order and unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle.

Larceny, theft and robbery


On Jan. 20, 2014, Roque Pena, 47, of Boston, was arrested at 180 Somerville Ave. and charged with conspiracy, larceny and possession of burglarious instruments. Pena is accused of stealing a Galaxy tablet from Target after cutting off the security tags. At the same time, Janice Sarno, 40, of Reading, was arrested and charged with being an accessory after the fact and conspiracy.

On Jan. 22, Marquille Morrisey, 26, of 9 Oliver St., was arrested at 530 Somerville Ave. and charged with armed robbery. Morrisey was also arrested on warrants for unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, failure to stop or yield and violating a miscellaneous municipal ordinance.

On Jan. 24, Jose Velazquez, 38, of Dorchester, was arrested at 17R Endicott Ave. and charged with possession of burglarious instruments, breaking and entering, and resisting arrest. According to a police report, a woman who was asleep in her home called police after she was awoken by a cracking sound at her window. When officers arrived they found Velazquez in the back yard trying to hop the fence, the report says. Police found a screwdriver and noticed the window screen had been cut, according to the report. They also found shavings and pry marks on the door, the report says.

Drug-related arrests


On Jan. 23, Alex Bilodeau, 26, of Revere, was arrested in Davis Square and charged with assault and battery on a police officer, drug distribution and resisting arrest. Bilodeau is accused of hiding marijuana in the women's bathroom toilet at Anna's Taqueria.

Operating under the influence


On Jan. 21, Gustavo Cardoso, 34, of Boson, was arrested at 30 Washington St. and charged with operating under the influence of liquor.

Other arrests


On Jan. 22, Nichole Harris, 25, of Philadelphia, was arrested at 23 Cummings St. and charged with offering sexual conduct for a fee. She was also arrested on a warrant for offering sexual conduct for a fee.

Warrant arrests


On Jan. 21, Jamal Escobar, 19, of 3 Snow Terrace, was arrested at that address on warrants for being an accessory after the fact, being an accessory before the fact, and possession of a firearm without a firearm ID card.

On Jan. 21, Raul Campos, 22, of 182 Washington St., was arrested at that address on warrants for assault and battery with a dangerous weapon and kidnapping.

On Jan. 22, Jose Dasilva, 28, of 25 West St., was arrested on Broadway on warrants for unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and speeding.

On Jan. 25, Elias Soares, 38, of Arlington, was arrested on Broadway on a warrant for unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle.

On Jan. 25, Thomas Primus, 52, of Lynn, was arrested at 775 McGrath Highway on a warrant for driving with a revoked license.
