Man Drops Pants, Urinates on Sidewalk In Front of Cops, Says Report

Arrests made by the Somerville Police Department from Jan. 13 to Jan. 18. Please remember that the charges listed below do not indicate a conviction.

Assault and battery


On Jan. 15, Christopher Simon-Martin, 28, of 14 Sargent Ave., was arrested at that address and charged with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon. According to a police report, Simon-Martin is accused of grabbing a victim by the neck, pushing the victim, then swinging a hockey stick around in a threatening manner.

On Jan. 16, Bijendra Karki, 41, of 21 Franklin Ave., was arrested on Chester Avenue and charged with assault and battery. According to a police report, Karki, apparently intoxicated, walked in front of the police department's prisoner transport wagon, dropped his pants, and began urinating on the sidewalk on Chester Avenue. Police rolled down the window and told him to stop, and a woman he was with also tried to get him to stop, the report says. Karki allegedly pushed the woman violently into the street, according to the report. Police arrested him.

On Jan. 17, Jaselin Gonzales, 18, of Salem, was arrested at 16 Otis St. and charged with assault and battery.

On Jan. 17, Samuel Valera, 43, of Medford, was arrested at 50 Cross St. and charged with assault and battery.

On Jan. 17, Linda Cardalino, 51, of 21 Henderson St., was arrested at that address and charged with assault and battery.

On Jan. 18, Steven Demaras, 24, of 6 Belmont St., was arrested at that address and charged with assault and battery, resisting arrest and keeping a noisy and disorderly house. Demaras is accused of urinating off the third-floor porch, hosting a rowdy party, smashing glass bottles on the walkway and punching in the face neighbors who complained.

Larceny and theft


On Jan. 17, Jesse Weed, 32, of 37 Jackson Rd., was arrested at that address and charged with larceny, disorderly conduct and resisting arrest. Weed is accused of stealing his roommate's laptop, according to a police report. Weed was also arrested on Jan. 16 on a warrant for criminal contempt (see below).

Drug-related arrests


On Jan. 17, Lauren Vowells, 25, of Salem, was arrested at 102 Hudson St. and charged with drug possession.

Driving without a license


On Jan. 15, Brahmananda Lash, 31, of New Haven, Conn., was arrested at 616 Broadway and charged with driving with a suspended license.

Other arrests


On Jan. 13, James Huguley, 49, of Medford, was arrested at 660 Broadway and charged with trespassing.

On Jan. 18, Mathew Henebury, 43, of 70 Boston St., was arrested at that address and charged with wanton malicious defacement of property.

Warrant arrests


On Jan. 13, Joseph Dixon, 53, of Boston, was arrested at 278 Powder House Blvd. on a warrant for operating under the influence of liquor.

On Jan. 14, Carlos Rivera, 29, of Chelsea, was arrested at 95 Central St. on warrants for drug possession, conspiracy to violate drug law and having a child under 6 without a car seat.

On Jan. 16, Veronica Bouche, 33, of Medford, was arrested at 709 McGrath Highway on warrants for receiving stolen property and breaking and entering.

On Jan. 16, Jesse Weed, of 37 Jackson Rd., was arrested at that address on a warrant for criminal contempt.

On Jan. 16, Wemerson Generoso, 48, of Southborough, was arrested on Broadway on warrants for speeding and unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle.

On Jan. 17, Mary Riddle, 49, of 50 River Rd., was arrested at 775 McGrath Highway on a warrant for shoplifting.

On Jan. 18, Guy Ahart, 51, of Dorchester, was arrested at 105 Middlesex Ave. on a warrant for receiving a stolen motor vehicle.
