Lower Broadway Shooting Sends Victim to Hospital in Serious Condition
The shooting took place in East Somerville shortly before midnight, according to reports.
A late-night shooting at 196 Broadway in East Somerville sent a victim to the hospital in serious condition, according to reports.
Somerville Police Monday morning confirmed a shooting took place but did not immediately provide information about the incident. Somerville Patch was waiting to hear back from a police spokesperson.
According to Breaking News Network, a notification service that monitors police, fire and first-responder scanner transmissions, the shooting took place shortly before midnight Sunday night.

The notification service reported one victim was shot multiple times and was taken to Massachusetts General Hospital.
On Twitter, @AlertNewEngland and @NEFirebuff, who also monitor first-responder scanner transmissions, also reported the shooting. The AlertNewEngland Twitter feed reported the victim was shot multiple times in the neck and suffered life threatening injuries.
