City Holds Gathering for Residents Displaced by Fire

Residents are asked to meet at the Argenziano School, which is a few blocks away from Thursday's fire.

The city of Somerville announced Thursday morning it was holding a gathering for residents and neighbors displaced by a fire that damaged six homes on Calvin Street.

The Argenziano School is a few blocks away from Calvin Street toward Union Square.

Residents or community members who have been displaced or otherwise affected by this morning’s 7-alarm fire on Calvin Street are asked to meet  immediately at the Albert F. Argenziano School (290 Washington Street). Members of the Somerville Police and Fire Departments, Massachusetts Emergency Management Agency (MEMA), and the American Red Cross will be on site to provide important information, and to work with you to ensure the safety and security of you and your family members affected by the fire.
