Breaking and Entering Suspect Found with Drugs

The following information comes from the Somerville Police Department. When arrests are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

A 22-year-old Somerville man who allegedly tried to break into an East Albion Street residence was found with drugs, according to police.

After receiving a call of a suspicious man possibly attempting to break into a residence at about 9 a.m. Thursday, police soon located the suspect, Ibrahim Muhammad, of 14 Otis St., on Meacham Street.

Muhammad had a warrant out for assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, larceny from a building and destruction of property over $250, according to police.

Police allegedly found prescription pills, marijuana and $150 in cash on Muhammad during a search. He was additionally charged with possession of a Class B drug (two counts), possession of a Class D drug with intent to distribute and resisting arrest.
