Bouncer Punched in Head, Says Police Report

Three men got mad when they weren't allow into On The Hill Tavern, according to a police report.

A Somerville man and an unknown assailant punched a Magoun Square bouncer in the head when the bouncer wouldn't let the men into a bar, according to details in a police report.

According to the report, Ronaldo Tejada, 29, and Oscar Tejada, 24, both of 34 Sargent Ave., and a third man tried to get into On The Hill Tavern at about 9:15 p.m. on Saturday.

The bouncer told police the men were intoxicated and one of them didn't have ID, so the bouncer didn't let them into the tavern, the report says.

The three men then tried to start a fight, according to the report. The bouncer told police the unknown man punched him in the head twice, and Oscar Tejada punched him in the head once.

An officer patrolling the area saw Tejada throw the punch, according to the report.

When the officer ordered the men to stop fighting, Ronaldo Tejada approached the officer quickly, and the officer pushed him away and took out his pepper spray, the report says.

This led to a scuffle, and police officers performed "arm takedowns" on both the Tejadas and handcuffed them, according to the report.

It says Oscar Tejada had a knife.

Both men were arrested and charged with resisting arrest and disorderly conduct.

Ronaldo Tejada was also charged with threatening to commit crime, and Oscar Tejada was charged with assault and battery.
