ATF Agents, Police Stake Out Target Parking Lot, Make Drug Bust, Says Report

Somerville police and agents from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, the ATF, arrested a Somerville man on Sept. 11 after observing a drug deal in the parking lot of Target, according to allegations in a Somerville police report.

According to the report, Somerville police and the AFT conducted a weeks-long investigation into Filipos Yeman Moba, 28, of 432 Norkolk St., who was allegedly involved in dealing Percocet pills in Somerville and Malden.

The report says that as part of the investigation, which is ongoing, investigators observed Moba making several drug transactions during August, and as a result they received a federal search warrant for his Norfolk Street apartment.

According to the report, police and ATF agents observed Moba parked in the parking lot of Target at about 6:55 p.m. on Sept. 11, and investigators were able to monitor a drug transaction conducted in his vehicle.

The report says investigators then followed Moba as he drove out of the parking lot, and they ultimately pulled him over on Windsor Street.

The report says an ATF agent involved in the drug bust produced as evidence a baggie containing 50 blue pills believed to be Percocet, a pain killer containing oxycodone.

Moba was arrested and charged with drug distribution and drug violation near a park or school, according to the police report.
