Another Arson in Somerville Friday Morning

City and state authorities are offering a total of $25,000 for information about four arsons that have occurred in Somerville this summer.

A small Friday morning fire on Laurel Terrace, in Spring Hill, was caused by arson, according to an announcement from the city of Somerville.

The fire was extinguished before it had time to spread, according to the announcement.

However, it marks the fourth confirmed arson in Somerville since June, the announcement says.

Several other fires are still under investigation.

The city announced it has doubled its reward for information about this summer's arsons from $10,000 to $20,000. The state fire marshal's office is also offering a $5,000 reward for information about the Somerville arsons. That means the total reward for information stands at $25,000.
