Volunteer at YUM: A Taste of Immigrant City!

Want a taste of something different? Want to experience the diverse flavors of Somerville?

If so, volunteer at the YUM: A Taste of Immigrant City event on the evening of Thursday, April 10th at the Somerville Armory! This event is a showcase of the 9 immigrant-run restaurants who are on the YUM Card, a restaurant discount program run by The Welcome Project, an organization helping build empowerment in Somerville's immigrant community. Check out the event website here: http://yumsomerville.org/.

Volunteers will be taking tickets, helping with set up, serving food, and generally helping make sure the event runs smoothly. Each group of volunteers will have a one-hour work slot during setup (5 to 6) or the event (645 to 945) and get a chance to sample the food, so the commitment is small and the pay-off is great!
