POLL: What's the Most Offensive Behavior on the T?

It's no secret to any Bostonian: Riding the T can be frustrating. Not uncommonly, the train or bus shrieks into the station (late), packed and smelling bad. But sometimes that's not the worst of it. Aside from the Job-like patience it takes to cope with the T's systemic challenges, other riders can fray the most saintly nerves.

You know who I'm talking about. The people who hijack your mental space with a loud retelling of their visit to the doctor; the phone screamers; the spitters; the litterers; the stinky-food eaters.

Aware of the high numbers of decency-challenged riders, this week the MBTA rolled out its new Onion-like courtesy campaign, designed to encourage a little common consideration. The T's ads remind riders to give up their seats to those in need, to practice basic hygiene, to not be a pig, to wait for others to exit before boarding and to pipe down.
