Somerville Community Growing Center’s 17th Annual Harvest Festival this Saturday The Friends of the Somerville Community Growing Center invite friends old and new to come celebrate this year’s bounty at our 17th annual Harvest Festival at 22 Vinal Ave. This annual event allows us to honor the joys of the growing season and sharing time together. Attendees of all ages are invited to participate in apple pressing, butter making, pumpkin decorating, and nature activities for kids from 1-4pm on Saturday October 1st. Music from the Gloucester Hornpipe and Clog Society will entertain guests from 4-5:30pm. Come support the Growing Center’s facilities and programming by bidding on our small but select Silent Auction. It’s guaranteed to have something for everybody, from a tour of Formaggio's cheese cave for you and 3 friends, a private tarot card reading session, an Eat More Kale T-shirt of your choice, and more! In the event of rain, the Harvest Festival and Silent Auction will take place on October 2 from 1-4 pm. More info: www.thegrowingcenter.org or https://www.facebook.com/event.php?eid=216876235040811
