Obituary: Eleanor 'Ellie' Medeiros, 79, of Somerville

Eleanor T. “Ellie” Medeiros, 79, of Somerville, died Thursday, May 15, 2014. 

Beloved daughter of the late Manuel and Sabina (Glazer) Medeiros. Loving sister of Sally B. Spagnuolo of Florida, Leonard J. Medeiros of Malden and the late Robert “Bobby” Medeiros and twin sister Maryann F. Medeiros. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. 

Funeral procession from the George L. Doherty Funeral Home, 855 Broadway, Powder House Square, Somerville, Tuesday morning at 9 a.m., followed by a funeral mass in St. Clement Church, Somerville, at 10 a.m. Relatives and friends invited. Calling hours Monday, 4-7 p.m. Interment Wildwood Cemetery, Winchester. 

Ellie had a love of the water and was a swimming instructor at the Somerville YMCA.
