Widespread parent support for Laura Pitone on Nov. 5th

We are parents who have children in the Somerville Public Schools, and we believe that the clear choice for

Ward 5 School Committee Member on Nov. 5th

 is Laura Pitone.

Laura continues to speak door-to-door and in her campaign literature about substantive issues and the

priorities she would have as Ward 5 School Committee Member, such as fostering teacher collaboration

within and across schools.

Laura is exceptionally well qualified for School Committee. She has two children in the schools, six

years of school leadership experience and a natural gift for bringing together people with widely different

opinions to work toward a common goal. Laura is a good listener, always wanting to understand the

concerns of other families and community members. With a background in business and engineering,

Laura has a well honed analytical way of thinking and expertise in group decision-making.

Laura understands our schools from the ground up and top down. Her extensive school involvement runs

the gamut from hands-on classroom volunteering to three years on a school improvement council and

serving on the city’s Children and Youth Study Team.

Laura has all the tools a parent or educator could hope for in a School Committee Member. She will

rigorously advocate for what’s best for our children in Ward 5 and all our students across the city.

Voters in Ward 5 have an opportunity to elect someone who has not only extensive experience in our

schools but also a deep commitment to our community.

Please join us in supporting Laura Pitone for Ward 5 School Committee on Nov. 5th
