Grants Available from Tufts Neighborhood Service Fund

Tufts employees donate to the fund, which makes small grants to local organizations.

Tufts University is seeking applications from local organizations interested in receiving small grants from the Tufts Neighborhood Service Fund.

The fund draws from donations made by employees of Tufts University.

Last year, the fund made grants of between $250 and $2,000 to 32 organizations in Somerville, Medford, Grafton and Chinatown, where the university has campuses.

In Somerville, for instance, Meals on Wheels for elderly residents received a grant, according to an email from the university.

Applicants must also have Tufts volunteers—students, employees, alumni—actively working with their organizations.

Organizations that are interested should call the community relations office at (617) 627-3780 or visit the Tufts Neighborhood Service Fund website. Applications are due Nov. 25.
