Volunteer Training: Supporting Literacy

Join us for a fun and interactive volunteer workshop to support literacy!  Open to all new and returning Somerville Volunteers.   Volunteers will learn specific techniques for supporting literacy in the classroom and when working with a student.  Strategies for decoding text, developing fluency, supporting reading comprehension, and writing support will be shared.  Instructor:  Alex Hershey, Instructional English Language Arts Coach, Somerville Public Schools.
