Vento Chiaro Cambridge Concert

The acclaimed wind quintet Vento Chiaro presents music to
warm your bones: Milhaud's suite of charmingly descriptive vignettes about the castle and court of Renè I, Count of Provence, titled La Cheminee du Roi Renè; the energetic and rollicking Wind Quintet No.1 by Hungarian
composer Endre Szervánsky; and a lively, recent work by Boston based composer Derek
Jacoby
, who writes, “Woodwind quintet is a special ensemble to compose for
because it’s the only standard chamber group in which every instrument is
completely different.  This trait of the woodwind quintet, the uniqueness
of every part, is what inspired me to compose for the ensemble.” Join us and
experience the unique sound of the woodwind quintet!
