Stories From Lives - A Concert by C4: The Choral Composer/Conductor Collective

The C4 Ensemble is a unique chorus that is directed and operated collectively by its singing members. It functions not only as a presenting ensemble, but also as an ongoing workshop and recital chorus for the emerging composers and conductors who form the core of the group. It is the first organization of its kind and one of the few choral groups in the nation to focus on the music of our time, exclusively performing music written in the last twenty-five years.

In this concert, C4 will present music reflecting personal experiences or relating to the composer's heritage. Featured works include the premiere of "Caerphilly" by Bettina Sheppard, a piece by Tufts performance faculty member Thomas Stumpf, and works by C4 member composers Karen Siegel, Jonathan David, Joe Rubinstein, and Emma Lou Diemer.

Tickets are free with a Tufts ID card (limit two per ID) and $10 for general admission. Call 617.627.3679 for tickets.

This concert has been made possible by the Granoff Music Fund.
