Spiritus- An art exhibition to nourish the soul

The Washington Street Art Center presents “Spiritus” by Spiridoula Politis and Paul Grady Lee
 
ON VIEW:  October 19-26, Saturdays 12-4 and by appointment
OPENING RECEPTION:  October 19, 7-11 pm
 
Spiritus is a collection of works that nourish and heal the spirit using images, color, and symbols that reflect and transmit Universal energy. Featuring archetypal icons, spirit animals, chakras, and sacred geometry, Spiritus seeks to take you on a journey through the metaphysical universe.
 
Spiridoula Politis is an artist and art educator whose work chronicles her own spiritual journey and experiences, from the Amazon jungle to her little yoga mat. www.spiridoula.com
 
Paul Grady Lee is a wellness coach and meditation instructor with a passion for ancient global art, whose work is inspired by archetypal icons and symbols.

Ignore Emporium is the brainchild of Kevin Casey, a longtime songwriter from Somerville, with a penchant for creating lush, smooth melodies with his guitar and voice.

Spiritus is on display at Gallery 321 at the Washington Street Art Center from October 19-26th, with an opening reception on Saturday, October 19 from 7:00-11:00pm. We are proud to present a musical performance by Ignore Emporium at 10pm.  Normal gallery hours are Saturdays 12:00pm-4:00pm with additional viewings available by appointment.
 
The Washington Street Art Center houses Gallery 321, hosts studio space for more than twenty visual artists, and presents exhibitions, concerts, film series, and other art initiatives. The Center participates in Somerville Open Studios each May and an annual open studios and craft fair in December.


The Washington Street Art Center is between Union Square and Beacon Street: a five-minute walk from Union Square and a ten-minute walk from Harvard Square (two blocks from Beacon Street). The Center is near or on the following bus routes: 87, 83, 86, and 91. Parking is free and ample.
