This course, taught by award-winning multimedia journalist Jane Regan will teach you how to produce news segments for SNN. After considering the who, what, where, why and when of news that matters, you will learn how to research and plan news stories of various genre. The first two evenings will have plenty of viewing, hands-on and shooting, and discussion. Then, you will plan, shoot and cut a story over the weekend as "homework" for the third class, where the class and instructor will critique and help get you ready for primetime.
News Producers receive a stipend of $25 for pieces accepted for inclusion on the Somerville Neighborhood News. This is taught by SNN Director, Jane Regan.
