National Eggs Benedict Day At South Street Diner

South Street Diner puts their own twist on classic American breakfast dish for National Eggs Benedict Day!

Did you know eggs benedict originated in 1894 after Wall Street Broker Lemuel Benedict ordered "buttered toast, poached eggs, crisp bacon, and a hooker of Hollandaise" at the Waldorf Hotel. The dish was then modified to its traditional version and named after Lemuel, thus creating the classic American breakfast dish.

In honor or the breakfast staple, South Street Diner will be serving over 16 variations of the popular breakfast item to celebrate National Eggs Benedict Day on Wednesday, April 16th.

- Lobster benedict
