Lachrimae, or Seaven Teares: Music of John Dowland

The 25th season of Early Music Afternoons continues with John Dowland’s "Lachrimae, or Seaven Teares", performed by El Dorado Ensemble (Carol Lewis, Janet Haas, Paul Johnson, Mai-Lan Broekman and Alice Mroszczyk, violas da gamba; Olav Chris Henriksen, lute). The collection includes galliards, almaines, and pavans, as well as Dowland's seven "Lachrimae" pieces. This remarkable collection, seldom performed in its entirety, will not disappoint – the timeless beauty of Dowland’s music is hard to resist.  Admission: $19 general admission, $14 students, seniors, Museum members.
