Historic Somerville and Somerville Museum Winter Holiday Extravaganza
Where will you be on Friday the 13th?
You could be enjoying food, drink, live music and more at the Historic Somerville and Somerville Museum joint Winter Holiday Extravaganza! That's this coming Friday evening, December 13th, 7-9PM at the Somerville Museum, One Westwood Road in Somerville. Please join us for fun and frivolity and support a good cause: our goal to become compliant with the Americans with Disabilities Act in 2014! Here's what's happening:
- Music performances by the Somerville High School Honors Chamber Ensemble, Andrew Blickendorfer conducting.
- Exhibition of Floral Arrangements by The Bostonian, T J Murphy the Florist, Nellie's Wild Flowers, Mystic Florist, One Bow Street and Ricky's
- Fingerfood, drink, and good cheer in abundance
- Historic Costume Fashion Show of costumes valued at over $4,000
- Silent Auction of Unique Wreaths and Holiday Door Decor - including ones by our former Mayor Gene Brune and the Museum's Executive Director, Evelyn Battinelli;
- Raffle of goods donated by area businesses including What's Nu, Jerry's Liquors, SavMore Liquors, WardMaps, Skip Murray, O2 Yoga, Salon Femia,StarBucks and more (liquors are restricted to bidders over 21 years of age)
Admission to Members of the general public: $10, Members and volunteers of Historic Somerville or the Somerville Museum: free. Net proceeds will go to the Somerville Museum Building Fund to support Americans with Disabilities Act building renovations
