Garden-Related Demonstrations at the Somerville Garden Club

The June meeting of the Somerville Garden Club features three demonstrations with a horticultural/gardening theme. Join garden club members for a mini-workshop to write haiku capturing the beauty of the spring and summer garden, then enjoy a talk and slideshow about an art project pertaining to the flora of the Middlesex Fells Reservation. Next, participate in a hands-on demo on how to plant and maintain wildflowers. Participants will be able to plant seeds or seedlings in small containers to take home.

Each Somerville Garden Club meeting opens with club announcements, followed by a horticultural question and answer session, then a lecture or demonstration, and concludes with a raffle of donated plants and garden items. Parking is available on site, and the building is a short walk from the Davis Square T station. Meetings are on the second floor, wheelchair accessible. All Somerville Garden Club meetings are free and the public is invited to attend. For additional information visit www.somervillegardenclub.org
