Free Jazz & Swing Concert at Cambridge Senior Center

Powers Music School faculty members will present a concert of beloved jazz and swing music in “Benny & Beyond,” a tribute to the “king of swing” legend Benny Goodman, at the Cambridge Citywide Senior Center, Milne Ballroom, Thursday, October 10, at 1:00 pm. Part of the Leader Bank Neighborhood Concert Series, and featuring Powers Music School clarinet faculty member, Todd Brunel, with guest pianist Joe Reid, the concert will showcase popular tunes such as Duke Ellington’s Caravan, George Gershwin’s I Got Rhythm, Cole Porter’s Day and Night, and more.  Both musicians have graced stages across the country, including Carnegie Hall and the Montreal Jazz Festival. Admission is free. For more information about our “Leader Bank Neighborhood Concert Series” and the “Music on Mondays” faculty concert series, please visit www.powersmusic.org/faculty_concerts
