French and American Connections

Join performance faculty members Pascale Delache-Feldman, double bass and Emmanuel Feldman, cello, for a truly diverse Franco-American musical journey narrated by the performers. It starts in Paris with duos by Jean Barrière (Sonate a Deux), followed by the rich and stylish music of Jacques Offenbach (Suite) and Gounod’s Bach inspired “Ave Maria”. The American part of the program begins in New York with a salute to the 75th anniversary of the passing of the ever-popular George Gershwin, followed by Pulitzer Prize winning composer John Harbison (Deep Dances written for Cello e Basso), Berklee composer Andrew List (“Love Dances”), and original music for the duo by Emmanuel Feldman.
