Dear Friends,
In 2002 a small group sat in our dining room
with the hopes of accomplishing two things; honor the life and memory of our
son Brian and putting ourselves in a solid financial position so that we could
help other special needs children and their families that struggle each and
every day. That evening the Brian Higgins Trivia Night was born and eleven
years later we’ve never looked back. It still amazes us that people are still
excited as if this was our first year!
Our success over the past 11 years is due entirely to your
generosity and caring. Your past support has helped us to continue to award
scholarships and purchase medical equipment insurance companies refused to
cover. Your contributions have purchased assistive technology equipment that
enables children to connect with their peers and the world around them. Your
contributions have sent children to summer camps, helped the Best Buddies of
Somerville High School, Special Olympics of Massachusetts, Challenger League
Baseball at Malden Little League West and so much more it’s too numerous to put
in this letter. Your generosity and caring has brought some much needed smiles
to the faces of many children and much needed support for their families.

The trivia portion which is strictly for fun will consist of 80 teams who can discuss answers among
themselves and compete against other teams in the possible areas of LITERATURE,
ENTERTAINMENT, HISTORY, SPORTS, and MUSIC.
Kelly’s
Roast Beef will provide a light dinner and
dessert provided by Somerville High School
Culinary Arts Program.
There will also be raffles, cash bar, silent auction and 50/50 raffle.
