Creative Winter Floral Arrangements

The November meeting of the Somerville Garden Club features a demonstration by Tom Sopko, experienced floral arranger, gardener, and SGC member. Using the late-in-the-season plant material found in our own backyard, Tom will create arrangements with a Thanksgiving, Christmas, and Winter theme. While building the arrangements Tom will address design elements such as form, texture, color, and scale, plus the practical considerations for successful, long-lasting  arrangements. His floral creations will be added to the raffle that ends every SGC monthly meeting.
The Somerville Garden Club meets the second Wednesday of every month; all meetings are free and the public is invited to attend. Each meeting includes club announcements, a horticulture question and answer session, a lecture and/or demonstration, and a raffle of donated plants and garden items. Parking is available on site, and the building is a short walk from the Davis Square T station. Meetings are on the second floor, wheelchair accessible.
