Celebrate Family Fun at 2014 Futures at Fenway on July 13

The Boston Red Sox will celebrate minor league baseball as Futures at Fenway, sponsored by Mitsubishi Electric, returns to Fenway Park.         

The 9th annual event is a celebration of America’s favorite pastime giving fans a chance to get a firsthand glimpse at some of the Red Sox’ most promising prospects. This year, the Single-A affiliate Lowell Spinners will take on the Mahoning Valley Scrappers. The minor league game is presented by Minuteman Health.

Featured family-friendly entertainment includes:
•   Post-game movie screening  of the classic baseball film “Field of Dreams”
•  “Bark at the Park” - Once again, fans are invited to bring their dogs to the ballpark and participate in canine-themed activities
•  Family-friendly ticket & concession prices

This year marks the 25th anniversary of the 1989 “Field of Dreams” story that stars Kevin Costner and James Earl Jones, features Amy Madigan, Ray Liotta, Burt Lancaster, and Dwier Brown, and includes a memorable scene filmed at Fenway Park. 

Schedule:

  • 2:00 p.m. Gates 
  • 3:30 p.m. Game between the Boston Red Sox Single-A affiliate, Lowell Spinners and the Cleveland Indians Single-A affiliate, Mahoning Valley Scrappers 
  • “Field of Dreams” showing to follow approx. 30 minutes after conclusion of game 

$15 admission to the game and movie; $20 admission for fans bringing dogs.  Tickets and information are available at:  http://boston.redsox.mlb.com/bos/ticketing/futures_at_fenway.jsp  
                     
Dogs and their owners will have a designated seating section and must call 877-REDSOX9 for tickets and waiver information.
