CELEBRATE ELLINGTON'S 115th AT SALOON'S JUBILEE STOMP

Saloon in Somerville's Davis Square invites jazz lovers to celebrate the 115th birthday of the great Duke Ellington at their Jubilee Stomp on Tuesday, April 29th, 2014. Executive Chef Jonathan Schick will create a special three-course menu, with beverage director Manny Gonzales crafting cocktails to match.  The evening will be topped off with the Lyle Brewer Trio performing some of Ellington's greatest hits. 

Guests are invited to return to the height of prohibition and the allure of the speakeasy and be transported to the heyday of The Cotton Club and Duke Ellington.  Attendees can enjoy a North Carolina inspired three-course dinner, paired with cocktails fit for the Cotton Club itself.  With the Lyle Brewer Trio playing through the most iconic jazz selections from a true jazz master, guests can dance the night away, all in honor of Ellington's 115th birthday. Guests are encouraged to wear their most festive period pieces. 

The menu for the evening with cocktail pairings with include:
Honey Glazed Chicken Wings - Lime, Fluer de Sel 
Honey Suckle Rose - Aria Gin, Barenjager, Lemon, Rosewater Scented Rosemary

Short Rib Pan Pizza - Arugula, Pickled Red Onion, Goat Cheese 
Jean Marc Burgaud, Morgon Cotes du Py Reserve

Toffee Pudding
Creole Love Call - Barbancourt 8 yr Rhum, Dry Vermouth, Ninino amaro, Belle de Brillet
