Beat Hotel Hosts Bastille Day!

On Sunday, July 13th, 2014 from 7:30PM to 11:30PM, Beat Hôtel will commemorate the storming of The Bastille with dinner, libations and of course, a special live performance from Senegal’s Lamine Touré. All evening long Beat Hôtel’s Executive Chef Ignacio Lopez will be serving unique takes on traditional French cuisine such as Skirt Steak Frites and Bouillabaisse, all of which will be served in addition to the regular menu. The champagne will be flowing and guests can also choose from a selection of special cocktails to complement the evening’s food and music. The night will heat up with a live special guest performance from Lamine Touré. Born in Kaolack, Senegal, Lamine Touré comes from a long line of musicians and has been drumming since the young age of 4. Currently an Artist-in-Residence at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Lamine Touré directs the Senegalese drumming ensemble, Rambax MIT, in addition to teaching sabar drumming and dance classes in the Boston area. He will bring his expert percussionist skills to Beat Hôtel and will entertain the audience with a fusion of sounds combining Senegalese mbalax with elements of jazz, funk, reggae and Afrobeat.
