The Somerville Chamber of Commerce Dining and Nightlight Group presents the 16th Taste of Somerville on Wednesday, June 11th, 2014 [Date changed due to weather]. Held in the heart of Davis Square, the 2014 Taste of Somerville will feature over 40 notable participating restaurants, breweries and retailers. Food and beer lovers alike are invited to taste through the myriad of restaurant options Somerville has to offer in support of The Somerville Home.
From 5:30PM to 7:30PM, attendees will taste all of the culinary riches Somerville has to offer. In addition to an impressive list of notable establishments, the Taste of Somerville will also feature a Farmer’s Market, beloved local breweries and national wineries.
Epicureans who are looking for an added experience can purchase a VIP ticket for an additional $10. Access to the VIP tent includes a spirits tasting with some of the most exclusive high-end brands in the world, as well as passed hors d’oeuvres from participating restaurants.
Proceeds from The Taste of Somerville support The Somerville Home, a private non-profit corporation that has a proud history of providing residential services to the elderly and disabled individuals of the community. The Somerville Home has a stellar reputation as a residential home for providing a supportive, homelike environment to men and women age 50 and older for over 115 years. Its programs seek to foster personal well-being, independence, and incorporation of residents into community living.
