Tornado Watch, Hazardous Weather Outlook Issued for Somerville Area
The National Weather Service has issued a tornado watch for Middlesex County. Thunderstorms and damaging winds are expected Friday afternoon into Friday evening.
A tornado watch and hazardous weather outlook has been issued for Somerville and surrounding communities. The tornado watch is in effect until 9 p.m. Friday evening.
The National Weather Service (NWS) reported showers and thunderstorms will be rolling in Friday afternoon and evening.
"Thunderstorms may contain very heavy downpours and cause localized street flooding. Some of the thunderstorms may also contain storm wind gusts," NWS reported.
