Bruins game one
Hey "Vansterdam," our Canadians and token Eastern Europeans are better than your Canadians and token Eastern Europeans! And so it begins, game one of the Stanley Cup. You never saw Somerville wear so much yellow. (Seriously, you never did see that. Yellow is the new green, which used to be red.) The game starts at 8:00 p.m.
"Journeydance is an intentional flow of guided movement and visualization accompanied by a tapestry of eclectic music."
It "creates powerful, expressive dancing rituals that connect us to deep feeling states and ultimately bring us to a state of blissful presence."
Thus reads the description for Journeydance. As for Zar, it's "a therapeutic healing dance originating from northeast Africa, that uses hypnotic movement to enter a state of trance and connection with spirit."
This workshop, held tonight at in Union Square, will be led by Linda Ugelow, principal dancer at Libana, a women's world music ensemble. The workshop is limited to 25 people due to studio space, and it costs $15.
You don't need to be an experienced dancer, but you must love movement.

The author has been a music critic for the Wall Street Journal, and his mystery delves into New York's artsy subculture. It also includes a dead cabbie and an exploding SoHo art gallery. Join the discussion tonight from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the .
Weather and Red Sox
Never turn the TV off after the seventh when the Red Sox are down 10-1. Last night they made it exciting, scoring six runs in the final two innings. They still lost. The Red Sox host the White Sox again this afternoon (1:05 p.m.) for the last of three games. So far it hasn't been pretty. Today's weather will be hot, with temperatures reaching into the 80s and thunderstorms possible later in the day.
