Century 21 Avon & U.S. Marine Corp - Toys for Tots

Century 21 Avon is happy to join with the U.S. Marine Corp for our 1st year as an official donation drop-off location, supporting Toys For Tots.  An organization started in 1947, by Major Bill Hendricks, USCR and a group of Marine Reservists in Los Angeles collected and distributed 5,000 toys to needy children. The idea came form Bill’s wife, Diane.  In the fall of 1947, Diane crafted a homemade doll and asked Bill to deliver the doll to an organization, which would give it to a needy child at Christmas (more detail...).

For the past 20 years, our associates at Century 21 Adams in Arlington has been a drop-off location for their community.  As a recent addition to this company, we are happy to join this effort bringing cheer to children the holiday season in Cambridge. We proudly support this charitable event bringing gifts to boys and girls in our community, who may not receive a gift otherwise. We know that the generosity of our Cambridge & Somerville residents will be overwhelming.  We will appreciate the kind hearts and hope to do better each year as the need for gifts and the smiles they bring is so very important.
