Somerville Eatery Is One of Esquire's 'Best New Restaurants of 2013'

A new addition to Union Square is one of the best 20 new restaurants in the country, Esquire said.

Esquire magazine's list of "Best New Restaurants of 2013" includes trendy new eateries in New York, Chicago, San Francisco, Miami, New Orleans, Washington D.C., Brooklyn, Atlanta, Los Angeles ...

... and Somerville.

Bronwyn, which opened in Union Square in June, was one of 20 new restaurants from around the country that made the list.

The restaurant is known for it's sausage and beer, and as Esquire puts it, "[Bronwyn is a] stellar new addition to the growing number of restaurants elevating wursts and beer to new heights."

"This is a neighborhood place that deserves national attention for reinventing food we thought we knew (or always wanted to)," the magazine wrote.

It also said Bronwyn is in "the Boston suburb of Somerville." It's a word—suburb—the New York Times has also used to describe Somerville, a word that's perfectly accurate insofar as it's not. Describing Metro Boston to outsiders is a bit like explaining baseball to foreigners. But I digress.
