Restaurant Updates: Daddy Jones, La Brasa, Bronwyn, Painted Burro Bar, Cobble Hill

Daddy Jones Bar
Daddy Jones, the restaurant opening in the Magoun Square storefront formerly occupied by Lil' Vinny's, is opening Nov. 1, according to Urban Daddy.

The 35-seat restaurant will feature Greek food, a 1980s vibe and cocktails, the nightlife website reports. Urban Daddy got a hold of a menu, which includes things like cheese stuffed phyla, chicken soup, grilled sausage and "Mac Daddy" mac and cheese. As for cocktails, you'll be able to sip adaptations of classics, such as a spicy Manhattan, along with 1980s-inspired concoctions, like the Daddy Jones Wine Cooler.

La Brasa
Boston Eater called it one of Boston's "10 most anticipated fall openings," and the Lower Broadway restaurant, the brainchild of Frank McClelland (of L'Espalier and Sel De La Terre) portage Daniel Bojorquez, is projected to open in November of December, according to the restaurant blog.

Bronwyn
Another of Boston Eater's "10 most anticipated fall openings," Bronwyn is filling the Union Square space that was recently home to Ronnarong Thai Tapas. It's the creation of . Boston Eater says it could open in late fall.

Painted Burro Bar
Davis Square's Painted Burro is expanding into the adjacent space currently occupied by Spikes Junkyard Dogs sometime this winter, according to Grub Street Boston. The bar will feature food from Painted Burro's menu, plus craft cocktails, beer and Mexican Bingo, according to Grub Street.

Cobble Hill
According to Boston Restaurant Talk, Cobble Hill may be opening at 81 Park St., near the intersection of Beacon (a few blocks away from restaurants like Bergamot and Dali). What's more, the restaurant blog, citing a comment on Chowhound, says the general manager of Highland Kitchen may be involved in the project.
