Painted Burro to Open Second Restaurant in Boston

A relatively new Somerville favorite is expanding into Downtown Crossing.

Joe Cassinelli, owner of Painted Burro and Posto, both in Davis Square, is opening a second Painted Burro restaurant in Downtown Crossing, according to Eater Boston.

The Mexican restaurant will go into the space on Temple Place that was formerly home to Windsor Button, the food blog says. Windsor Button closed earlier this year after doing business for 77 years, Boston.com said.

Eater Boston says the Downtown Crossing version of the restaurant will be very similar to the original version in Davis Square, but it will have more space. It does not say when the restaurant will open.
